From Takamatsu Airport into the city.
The airport limousine bus is the easiest way into Takamatsu — about 45 minutes to JR Takamatsu Station. Fares change on 1 October 2026; the new fares are shown below.
Checked on the official Takamatsu Airport and Kotoden Bus websites on 22 September 2026. Bus times change every month to match flights, so please also check the official sites.

Limousine buses to central Takamatsu leave from bus stop 2. They are timed to meet arriving flights, and the timetable changes every month.

Fares from 1 October 2026. Until 30 September they are ¥900 to Ritsurin-koen-mae and Kawaramachi, and ¥1,000 to Takamatsu-Chikko and Takamatsu Station.
- Pay by cash, with a transport IC card such as Suica or ICOCA, or with a contactless credit or debit card.
- Ritsurin Garden is about a 1-minute walk from the Ritsurin-koen-mae stop.
- Some buses from Takamatsu Station to the airport do not stop at Kawaramachi — check the timetable for your trip back.
Taxi
A taxi from the airport to JR Takamatsu Station costs from about ¥6,300. For central Takamatsu there is also a pre-booked fixed-fare taxi (¥5,200–¥6,000, more late at night and early in the morning). For three or four people it can cost about the same as the bus.
The taxi stand is in front of the airport Information Center. Fixed fares must be booked in advance and cannot be applied once you are in the taxi.
Straight to Kotohira (Konpira-san)
Buses to JR Kotohira Station leave from bus stop 1: approx. 48 minutes, adults ¥2,000.

Off to the islands on your first day
Takamatsu Port is right in front of Takamatsu Station, so you can go straight from the airport bus to a boat for Naoshima or Shodoshima. Times and fares are in our guide “From Takamatsu Port to Naoshima, Teshima and Shodoshima”.
